It Pays to Look at Your Receipt!

Just got home from Safeway for a quick trip to acquire the life essential diet Coke.  I handed the cashier two coupons for $1 off each.  As I checked my receipt on the way out, only one had scanned.  I walked back in and showed it to her.  Then, she rescanned one of the coupons and handed me a dollar!  I told my husband on the way out, it pays to look at your receipt!

Toaster Strudel

Pillsbury Toaster Strudel is on sale for 2 for $5 at Safeway.  Use two $1 off coupons from here (and you can use your browser back button for more than one print sometimes) and you can get it for 2 for $4. 

While you are at Safeway they are having a special if you purchase $25 worth of specially marked frozen food you get a $10 certificate to use on your next purchase.  The price that goes toward the $25 is typically not the price with the sale or the coupon.  For example, if you have a bogo (buy one get one free coupon) you would get the purchase price for both items applied toward you $25.  The same would go for a $1 off coupon or two or three or four.  You can save some big money from this.  Let me know how it works for you in the comment section.
